JU’s cricket team flagged off for All India Vice-Chancellors T-20 Cup

JAMMU, Nov 30: Jammu University Employees Cricket Team was today flagged off from the University of Jammu by Prof. R. D. Sharma, Vice Chancellor University of Jammu.
The team is going to participate in the All India Vice-Chancellors T-20 Cricket Cup Tournament 2017 at Patiala from December 2 to December 17, 2017.
Prof. Sharma while conveying his best wishes to the team, hoped that the team put in their best in the T-20 Cricket Cup tournament and bring laurels to the University.
The team comprises of  Ameet Tagotra (Captain), Rajesh Verma (Vice-Captain), Vishal Sudan, Balwant Singh, Pawan Singh, Shammi Bhagat, Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Niranjan Singh, Sumit Sharma, Deepak Kumar, Gurpal Singh, Noor Ul Asrar,  Sandeep Bakshi, Avtar Sharma, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Coach/ Player, Surinder Singh, Supporting Staff and Piyush Sharma, Kitman.
On the occasion, Sh. Sunil Sahi, former manager and Sh. Chaman Lal, former player, Jammu University Employees Team were also felicitated for their contributions.
Among others present on the occasion were Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Registrar, University of Jammu, Prof Avtar Singh Jasrotia, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education and Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Special Secretary to Vice Chancellor.
