JAMMU, Jan 29: Jugal Kishore Sharma, Member of Parliament BJP (Lok Sabha) Jammu Poonch visited and laid foundation stone for construction of Sai-Phagla bridge over Aik nallah in Suchetgarh constituency.
The bridge will get constructed under Central Road Funds with an estimated cost of Rs 25.75 crore.
Sharma while addressing the gathering said that the bridge was the long pending demand of the inhabitants of the area and it is now fulfilled after a long time. The bridge is connecting the large number of population of village Sai Phagla, Sai Kallan, Molechak and adjoining areas of this border constituency.
He directed the concerned staff to complete the construction work in time so that large number of people should not suffer any more.
He also visited Government High School Chakroi and listened Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s programme “Pariksha Pe Charcha” along with the students and their parents.
Former Minister and ex-MLA Suchetgarh constituency Sham Choudhary, Executive Engineer PWD SA Wani along with the team, President Municipal Committee RS Pura Satpal Pappi, Principal GHS Chakroi Bimla Devi, Sarpanch Dev Raj Sharma, Vijay Choudhary, Manohar Lal, Darshan Lal and many others were present on the occasion.
