Jugal calls on Piyush Goyal, submits charter of demands

JAMMU, Apr 3: Jugal Kishore Sharma,  BJP Member of Parliament  (Lok Sabha) Jammu-Poonch Constituency called on Piyush Goyal, Union Minister for Railways  at New Delhi and discussed various development projects regarding railways in his Jammu Poonch Parliamentary Constituency.
Jugal Kishore urged him to start survey for laying of Jammu  to Poonch Railway Line a handout issued by MP here, today said.
He said that large number of area near about 400 km is connected only through surface transport and it is difficult to develop the connected areas by surface means only. Jammu- Poonch rail services are burning and genuine demand of people which they should get by the time but they are deprived off these services. He also discussed the other projects like rail crossing over bridges at Samba, Vijaypur, Bajalta and other areas.
Jugal Kishore laid stress over the modernization of Jammu Railway Station and its extension by adding three new platforms. He requested Minister that the construction work for new platforms should be started soon and ongoing works should be expedited so that the Jammu Railway Station is expanded and fully caters to the demands of people.
Moreover, he submitted that Uttar Sampark Kranti should have a stop at Manwal Railway Station and brought this issue in the notice of the Minister that the people of Manwal Kishenpur and adjoining area have to ply more than 70 kms to travel through Uttar Sampark Kranti train which seems very uneasy to them.
He said that the people of said area have raised their demand many a times in front of him during his tour programme to his constituency and it is his foremost duty to mitigate the sufferings of his people. He also submitted charter of demands to the Minister.
Piyush Goyal directed the concerned officials to put up these demands and assured Member of Parliament that they would be considered on priority and will be fulfilled soon.
