JUdrubs defending champion Shimla by 33 runs

JAMMU, Dec 2: In the inaugural match of the All India Vice-Chancellors T20 Cricket Cup Tournament, University of Jammu beat HP University, Shimla convincingly by 33 runs. Bating first, University of Jammu set a target of 114 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Deepak Kumar, the debutant was amongst top scorers who contributed 41 runs. From HP University, Shimla, Rajesh Thakur and Dharam Talwar shared 2 wickets each.
In reply, HP University Shimla was bundled out in 16.1 overs after scoring 80 runs.
Pawan Singh was amongst the top bowlers who took 3 crucial wickets. Dr. Dauood Iqbal Baba, Raj Kumar Bakshi and Balwant Singh shared 2 wickets each. Pawan Singh was adjudged as the man of the match for his superb bowling display.
Sham Lal Sharma, Manager and Sanjeev Kumar Chadha, Assistant Manager congratulated the team for this convincing win over defending champions.
