PATIALA, Dec 5: In its second T20 match, University of Jammu thrashed Amravati University by 9 wickets in the ongoing All India Vice-Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Cup, here today.
Bating first, Amrawati University scored a paltry total of 98 runs in stipulated 20 overs to set a target of 99 runs for University of Jammu. For JU, Dauood Iqbal Baba took 3 wickets, while Pawan Singh and Balwant Singh shared one wicket each.
In reply, University of Jammu chased the score in just 10.5 overs, thanks to a blistering knock of 62 runs in just 39 balls by Dauood Iqbal Baba. Deepak Kumar also contributed 23 runs.  Baba was adjudged man of the match for his exceptional all-round performance with both bat and ball.
Director, Sports and Physical Education, Prof AS Jasrotia congratulated the team for this victory.
Sham Lal Sharma, Manager and Sanjeev Kumar Chadha, Assistant Manager lauded the efforts of the players for registering a resounding victory.
