The University of Jammu team beat University of Kashmir by 3-0 and qualified for the quarterfinals.
Earlier in the matches played on day-3 today, Punjab University Patiala beat Amity University Haryana by 3-0; NCU Gurgaon defeated KU Kurukshetra by 3-0; University of Jammu drubbed KR Manglam University Gurgaon by 3-1; University of Allahabad trounced CU Jammu by 3-0; MDU Rohtak prevailed over CDLU Sirsa by 3-0; BR Ambedkar University Agra outplayed Kumaun Univ Nanital by 3-1; University of Kashmir got the better of MRSPTU Bathinda by 3-2; University of Jammu beat University of Kashmir by 3-0; Punjab University Patiala thrashed NCU Gurgaon by 3-0; MDU Rohtak outclassed University of Allahabad by 3-0 and Jamia Millia Islamia University defeated BR Ambedkar Agra by 3-1.
Prof. Rajni Kant, Director College Development Council, University of Jammu was the chief guest, who was introduced with the participating players of the various Universities along with Prof Avtar S. Jasrotia, Director Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu.
Satvir Singh, IP Singh and Dharminder Magotra (JR Finance JU) were the guests of honour, while Neeru Malik, the observer of the tournament appointed by the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi was also present on the occasion.
Prominent among others present were HS Chib, Ramesh Magotra, Ravish Vaid, Vikas karlopia, Gagan Kumar, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Jai Bharat, Harinderpal Singh, Pardeep Sharma, Vinay Manhas and PD Singh.
The matches were officiated by VK Gulati, Yatish Kumar, Deepak, Mohit, S. Gurvinder Singh, S. Gurpreet Singh, Sujay, Gaurav Sharma, Manarch Chopra, Manisha, Pushap Lata and Meenu Rajesh.
