JU reaches quarterfinals of Vice-Chancellor’s Cricket Cup

JAMMU, Dec 11: In the final T-20 league match, University of Jammu beat Ajmer Board by seven wickets making sure its place in the quarterfinals of the ongoing All India Vice-Chancellor’s T20 Cricket Cup at Patiala.
Bating first, Ajmer Board posted a total of 87 runs on the board in its stipulated 20 overs. Raj Kumar took 4 wickets, whereas Pawan Singh and Balwant Singh shared two wickets each.
In reply, University of Jammu chased the score in the 12th over easily. Dauood Iqbal and Vishal Soodan remained unbeaten and scored 49 and 29 runs respectively.
Raj Kumar Bakshi was adjudged as Man of the Match for his best bowling performance.
The University of Jammu team is accompanied by Sham Lal Sharma, Manager and Sanjeev Kumar Chadha, Assistant Manager.
