JU NSS team wins 5 prizes at National Integration Camp

JAMMU, Mar 20: A team of ten NSS volunteers from various colleges of Jammu region accompanied by a Programme Officer excelled in seven-day long National Integration Camp organized by Himachal Pradesh State NSS at District Institute of Education and Training, Mandi, Himachal Pradesh.
About 250 volunteers and 20 Programme Officers hailing from different States participated in the Camp.
Various activities and competitions were organized with morning prayers and drills in the morning and cultural performances in the evening.
The team from Jammu University participated in various competitions including Poster making, Slogan Writing, Mono-acting, Rangoli, Solo Dance, Debate, Culture Exchange Program, Essay Writing, Short Story Writing, Skit and Group dance competitions.
The J&K team won 5 trophies during the Camp.
The volunteers who participated in the camp were Vikas Pandita, Rubina Jamwal, Shivani Meenia, Sonali Sharma, Palak Bharti, Tripta Devi, Hritik Verma, Ashish Sharma, Ravi Badyal and Sharmesh Kumar. Prof Rakesh Singh Charak from Government Degree College Basohli was the contingent in-charge for the Camp.
Dr Vishav Raksha, Programme Coordinator NSS appreciated the efforts of the volunteers for their performances in the Camp.
