JU Kathua Campus organizes placement drive

KATHUA, Nov 21: Department of Computer Science and IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu,  today organized training cum placement drive to provide placement opportunities to the students of Kathua Campus in particular and other institutes and colleges of region in general at its campus for MCA, B-Tech (CSE), MSc (IT) and BCA students.
The drive was conducted by CS Soft Solutions Pvt Ltd., subsidiary of CS Group that is a software development company based in India. Since its inception in the year 2009, the company has focused at developing usable, innovative websites and offering a gamut of online marketing services. The core competency of CS Soft solutions lies in development of mobile applications for all types of mobile operating systems.
Rohit Soni, Business Development Manager and Abhishek Sood, Business Head, represented the company and conducted all the placement drive activities. The selection process from CS Soft Solutions Pvt Ltd included written aptitude test and technical test. The placement drive received an overwhelmed response and more than100 students from the various institutions, including Mahant Bachittar Singh College of Engineering and Technology, Model Institute of Engineering and Technology and several Government Degree Colleges of the district participated in the drive. Pre-counseling placement session was also conducted for the students to give them exposure including brief introduction about CS Group.
The whole process was conducted under the supervision of Prof Naresh Padha, Rector, Kathua Campus. He suggested the students to make full use of their technical skills for employability to various organizations. Further he assured the students to approach more IT companies to conduct placement drives at the Campus.
Earlier, Sourabh Shastri, Incharge Head, Department of Computer Science & IT stressed on the importance of campus placement drives.  Amardeep Sharma coordinated the whole process of the placement drive.
The campus had already organized a similar placement drive in this month that was conducted by S E Biz Infotech Pvt Ltd under Udaan project. The faculty members, including Pankaj Khajuria, Ajay Lakhnotra, Riti Prakash Singh Katal and Ankita Kangotra also contributed for the smooth conduct of the placement drive.
