JAMMU, Feb 12: As fresh talks between the agitating employees and Jammu University again did not yield any result, the Non-Gazetted Employees Union announced to continue its ongoing stir, which entered into 9th day today.
For discussion with the protesting employees, the JU today constituted a new committee comprising Registrar Prof Naresh Padha, Prof Desh Bandhu, Prof Manoj Kumar Dhar, Prof Rekha Choudhary, Dr D L Choudhary, Prof J P S Joral and Prof Poonam Dhawan. The committee members held talks with the representatives of Non-Gazetted Employees Union today but without conclusion.
Meanwhile, on 9th day of their ongoing stir, Class-IV employees and contractual workers again suspended work for three hours and held demonstration in front of Administration block besides taking out a rally on the campus.
Members of Non-Teaching Employees Union also joined the Class-IV employees in protest demonstration today.
