JTC for representation to Pandits in Assembly, Parliament

JAMMU, Mar 13: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today under the chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, president of both the Committees. The meeting was attended by the Office bearers and members of two organisations.
During the meeting various issues related to Kashmiri Pandit community were discussed threadbare. The participants expressed their grave concern over lack of representation to the community in State Assembly as well as Parliament of India.
While addressing the participants Pandita has said that Kashmiri Pandit Community has been ignored and not given representation in State Assembly as well as Parliament as the community is in minority in Kashmir valley.
He said that in order to ensure proper political representation of the community in the State Legislature as well as in Parliament at least three Assembly seats be created for Kashmiri Pandits community one for those Kashmiri Pandits who are hailing from District Kupwara, Baramulla, Bandipora, 2nd for Srinagar Ganderbi and Budgam and 3rd for Anantnag, Kulgam, Pulwama, Shopian and a Parliamentary seat for all these Assembly Constituencies for extending political representation to this minority Kashmiri Pandit Community.
