JTC discusses demands

JAMMU, Dec 19: Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) in its meeting here today held under the chairmanship of its president Shadi Lal Pandita discussed various demands.
Mr Pandita said KPs are confronted with many problems and in last 25 years of exile successive Governments have failed to mitigate them.
He reiterated his demand regarding settlement of displaced Pandita in three townships in Valley besides grant of minority status to the community.
The meeting demanded compensation for the losses suffered during last 25 years.
It demanded 10,000 jobs be announced for displaced youth in Government services out of which 3000 jobs be kept for class fourth. The meeting further demanded enhancement of cash relief. Rattan Lal Bhat, Rajinder Dhar, S N Gurtoo, M L Akhoon, G L Bhat, ML Pandita and others attended the meeting.
