JTC demands enhancement of cash assistance for migrants, creation of more posts under PM Package

JAMMU, Mar 30: To take stock of the problems being faced by the people of displaced community, Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) held a meeting under the chairmanship of its president, Shadi Lal Pandita, here today.
The members demanded immediate enhancement of cash assistance (relief) in favour of the Kashmiri migrants and release of the same along with arrears with retrospective effect.
While demanding filling of remaining 3000 posts under Prime Minister’s Employment Package immediately to absorb eligible educated youth in Government services, Mr Pandita appealed the Government to create 10,000 more posts to ensure employment to educated Kashmiri migrant youth as assured by former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah.
Mr Pandita also demanded 1000 Class-IV posts for those migrant candidates who could not continue study beyond matriculation because of adverse conditions.
The members also demanded permanent rehabilitation of Kashmiri Pandita at Satellite Township in Kashmir Valley with grant of one time compensation Rs 50 lakh for the losses suffered to properties of migrant families.
The meeting among others was attended by Rajinder, Vijay Pandita, Sunil Raina, Rattan Lal Bhat, Sanjay Pandita, Inderjeet Labroo, Ramesh Bhat, Mithan Pandita, M L Akhoon, M L Pandita, Gopi Nath Shah and Sham Lal Tickoo.
