JP World School students excel in KVPY, NSEC, NSEP

JAMMU, Dec 29: Three students of JP World School namely Umang Bhat, Prajwal Gupta and Akarsh Sharma of Grade 12th brought laurels for the school and the State of Jammu & Kashmir by qualifying Kishor Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana-2017-18(KVPY) consecutively for the second year.
The test is conducted at all India level by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. KVPY is a National Fellowship for Students Interested in Research Careers funded by Department of Science & Technology, Government of India.
It is noteworthy that Akarsh Sharma and Umang Bhat along have also qualified NSEC & NSEP (National Standard Examination in Chemistry & Physics) being conducted by India Association of Chemistry Teachers and Indian Association of Physics Teachers respectively.
Out of total five selected students, three were from JP World School.
The school has decided to confer them with Young Scientist Award-2017-18.
The school Managing Trustee, Ashok Singh Manhas in his address, applauded the students, parents, teachers and school Principal Jitinder Singh Hundal.  He also wished them good luck for their future endeavours.
