JP World School hosts TRJ Gold Cup 2018

JAMMU, Oct 27: A three-day long All India Football Tournament began today at JP World School, here today.
The tournament is being organized by JP World School in collaboration with TRJ Football Academy.
Ranjeet Kalra, member BCCI, J&K State Sport Council and Vice-President, J&K Wushu Association was the chief guest on the opening day of the tourney which will be held from today to October 29, 2018 in its school premises. Mr Kalra declared the tournament open by releasing the balloons in the presence of KL Dogra, Principal MV International School, JS Hundal, Principal JP World School and Ricky Kumar, founder TRJ Football Academy. Various teams from Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and J&K are taking part in the tournament. The participating teams from Jammu include JP World School, TRJ Academy, GD Goenka Public School, MV International School and APS Akhnoor.
The opening ceremony was marked by flag hoisting followed by cultural programme by the tiny tots of JP World School.
The event was compeered by Adishree and Sumbul, 9th Grade students of the school.
In the opening match of under-14 years, JP World School defeated Harvest Public School, Ludhiana (Pb) by 1-0 goals whereas in Under-17 category, JP World School smashed Delhi Football Academy, New Delhi by five goals to nil (5-0).
The third match between MV International School and JP World School ended in a draw, while in under-12, TRJ Football Academy defeated JP World School by 1-0.
In Under-17, TRJ Football Academy smashed Rajasthan by 1-0 while in another match GD Goenka Public School outplayed Sunshine International School by 2-0.
