JAMMU, Mar 7: JP Singh, Executive Director, has taken over the charge of Northern Region Transmission System –II of Power Grid Corporation of India Limited.
Singh shall be responsible for operation, maintenance and project execution of EHV/UHV transmission lines and substations under Central transmission projects in the States of J&K, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, parts of Haryana and UT Chandigarh.
Prior to joining in POWERGRID, he has also served in National Thermal Power Corporation Limited (NTPC). He has also served as Director in Teesta Valley Power Transmission Limited (a Joint Venture company of Power Grid and Teesta Urja Limited.
Singh had a brief stint as Head of National Transmission Asset Management Centre and Corporate LD&C at Gurgaon also. This is the second stint of JP Singh as Executive Director NRTS-II. Prior to this he had headed this region from December 2012 to September 2014.
