Jourian Premier League gets underway

JOURIAN, Jan 15: In order to provide a platform to the sports talent of the youth of villages of Jourian,  Khour, Akhnoor,
Manchak,  Bakore,  Chak, Devipur and Maniwala,  Army’s Crossed Swords Division is organising a Cricket Tournament ‘Jourain Premier League’ under Sadbhavna project, which got underway in an impressive and well attended function, here today.
An overwhelming response has been received from Akhnoor District and 12 teams have already been registered for participation in the tournament.
The first match of tournament was played today with great zeal and enthusiasm and hundreds of spectators witnessed the proceedings.
The aim of the tournament is to provide a platform to young talent to showcase their skills in the sports field and also to increase contact between Army and local youth.
