Jodhamal students excel in IAIS

JAMMU, Mar 2: Every year students of around 19 countries participate in the IAIS (International assessment for Indian Schools) conducted by the, University of New South Wales, Australia, (EAA-UNSW) in partnership with Macmillian.
Kanishka Kapoor of class 3 of Jodhamal Public School created a record by securing the highest grade in Mathematics among all participating students from India, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Maldives, Mauritius, Nepal, Oman, Pakistan, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka, Indonesia  and UAE in 2016-17. High Distinction is awarded to the top 1 percent of high scorers among the total students assessed, while Distinction is awarded to the top 10 percent of high scorers among the total students assessed.
43 children from class 3 to 11 have also been awarded High Distinction and Distinction Certificates from the University of Australia for the subjects, English, Mathematics, Science and Digital technologies. This assessment gives valuable diagnosis of student’s academic skills and provides a comprehensive picture of Individual learning areas, which is cultivated in the interactive classrooms here at Jodhamal.
The school management and Principal, Trilok Singh Bist, congratulated the winners and felicitated them in a special assembly in the school.
