Jodhamal emerges Sahodaya Swimming Competition champion

JAMMU, Aug 27: Jodhamal Public School hosted Sahodaya Complex Inter School Swimming Competition, here.
Ranjeet Kalra, Vice Chairman Jammu Sports Council was the chief guest on the first day’s valedictory function of the event, while Vikrant Kuthiala was the chief guest on the Closing Ceremony, who distributed the prizes among the winners.
Both Kalra and Kuthiala appreciated the initiative of Jodhamal Public School for hosting Sahodaya event smoothly and successfully.
They said that such competitions would bring the kids close to each other and a feeling of healthy competition will be percolated down and we can have some of the National Swimmers from J&K State.
The participants took part in various events with gusto and enthusiasm. More than 300 students participated in categories like freestyle–100 &50 meter, breast stroke, back stroke, Butterfly stroke, free style relay,medley 50 meters, relay etc. in all age group categories.
All the events were played under various categories like under 10, 12, 14, 17 for both boys and girls.
The rolling championship trophy was bagged by Jodhamal Public School, while Heritage school bagged the First runners up and second runners-up was won by K C International School
The event was organized under the aegis of CBSE Sahodaya School Complex Jammu.
Jodhamal Public School won 27 Gold, 14 Silver and 1 Bronze; Heritage School won the runners-up Trophy by winning 10 Gold, 14 Silver and 11 Bronze; KC International bagged the third prize by winning 4 Gold, 3 Silver and 8 Bronzeedals.
Principal Trilok Singh Bist and Vice Principal Shefali Sanwal appreciated the Oragnising Secretary Sukomal Ganguly, Swimming Coaches Pooja Bassan and David Sandhu, Sports staff comprising of Geetanjali, Aruna, Akash, Vishal, Vinod, Harjeet, Kamal Anand, Ritish and the CCA Coordinator Nandani Bakshi for their splendid organising skills.
