JAMMU, Jan 2: Acting tough against the violations, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today sealed another premises in Gandhi Nagar area.
The premises was sealed under the provisions of section 8 (1) of J&K Control of Building Operation Act, 1988, as the owner had started the work to put the building for commercial use.
The whole drive was conducted by a team of enforcement staff of JMC under the supervision of Rajesh Sharma, Joint Commissioner (Administration).
Besides this, the team also conducted a drive against the use of polythene carry bags and inspected various shops and other outlets in the different parts of city. During the inspection, the team seized the polythene carry bags which were below 50 Microns and also charged Rs 10600 as compounded fee from the defaulters on spot.
