JMC Safai Karamchari Union asks Govt to consider pending demands

JAMMU, Aug 12: Expressing satisfaction over the positive response of State Government on its demand of treating Safai Karamcharis working with NGOs as Casual Labourers, Civic Safai Karamchari Union of Municipal Corporation Jammu has sought attention towards its other pending demands also.
Addressing a joint press conference, here today, Suresh Sharma (president of JK People’s Democratic Trade Union) and Rinku Gill (president of CSKU) highlighted the Union’s pending demands, which include release of arrear of  the persons regularized in 2015, two and half day salary as per Essential Services Act, which was arbitrarily stopped 4-5 months back and increase in the wages of Casual Labourers to Rs 9000 per month.
CSKU leaders Ranjeet Singh, Gulzar Masih, Ashwani Sidhu, Manga Matoo, Nicko Demis, Jewels, Rakesh,  Rajesh, Rajinder,  Jang Bhadur,  Bagicha, Shaba, Sabhi, Tarsem, Jeeto, Koushlya, Neelam, Kashmiro, Pooja, Satpaul, Vicky, Manohar, Sham Paul and  William were also present in the press conference.
