JAMMU, Jan 25: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) today suspended Food Safety Officer for dereliction of duties in view of complaint received regarding non issuance of license in favour of the proprietor of M/s Mahajan Namkeen & Sweet Shop, Canal Road Jammu by him despite repeated pleas by the shopkeeper.
In a handout issued by JMC here, it said the Municipal Commissioner Kiran Wattal took serious note of the complaints and has ordered probe into the matter.
He further issued orders that the assignment of the suspended Food Safety Officer will be looked after by Ashwani Kumar, Food Safety Officer. The JMC has also made an appeal to all shopkeepers to obtain proper license from JMC for carrying out their business properly.
