JMC Commissioner, PCC leader take stock of problems of Christian Cemetery

JAMMU, June 29: General Secretary, Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC), Vikram Malhotra, along with the Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) and priest of the Christian Colony, Residency Road, toured the Christian Cemetery situated at Prem Nagar-Jogi Gate road today and took stock of the problem of water logging etc.
There was complaint of the Christian community people that the Nullah passing through the Christian Cemetery got blocked due to the Thermo-coal empty boxes which is used for import of fish from different parts of the Country.
The fish market which is situated at Mohallah Kanji-House throw these empty thermo-coal boxes in the said nullah resulting into blockage of nullah and affecting the burial ground of the cemetery.
The JMC Commissioner assured the general public and priest of the community that they will take necessary steps to clear the nullah and fish dealers will be challaned if they throw thermo-coal or any other thing which block the said nallah. He further assured that this process will be completed before monsoon. He also announced four sodium lights for said Christian Cemetery.
