JKVM organizes 5th Gaashtarukh competition

NEW DELHI, Dec 20: Jammu Kashmir Vichar Manch (JKVM) organized the final competition of Gaashtarukh V this year again at Mavlankar Hall, Rafi Marg, New Delhi.
Gaashtarukh is a talent hunt programme of displaced community children in many domains i. e Kashmiri singing, dancing and instrument playing.
This was the fifth edition of Gaashtarukh. A group of 89 young boys and girls were shortlisted from over 168 children who took auditions and participated in various domains in semifinals.
Out of them 43 children were selected for finals which were held on December 18. The final was judged by a penal of leading Kashmiri artists including Ravinder Kumar Bhan, a renowned singer, Dileep Langoo, great musician and singer, Sushma Kalla, a famous community singer and Kalpita Kachroo popularly known as Kathak Queen Madhuri.
The guest of honour was Ms Aabha Hanjura. Surinder Ambardar MLC J&K Legislative Council was the chief guest of the event. He gave away the awards to winners.
The welcome address was read by Ajay Bharti organizing secretary JKVM.
The introductory address was given by Manoj Bhan general secretary JKVM while the vote of thanks was proposed by Sanjay Ganjoo president JKVM.
The winner of Gaashtarukh in singing competition of junior category was Mehul Munshi from Noida while Siya Pota was first runner up and Pranvi Pandita was second runner up.
In singing competition of senior category Sagar Koul of Vaishali was winner while Simran Koul was first runner up first and Vanshika Bhat was the second runner up.
In instrumental combine Sidhant Chaku from Ghaziabad was winner while Ritvik Koul was first runner up and Vinayak Raina as second runner up.
In dancing junior Vihaan Raina of Mayur Vihar was the winner while Kanak Bindroo was the first runner up and Lavanya Bhat as second runner up.
In Dancing senior category Manvi Chaku of Mayur Vihar was winner while Vasudha Kak was the first runner up and Simriti Sapru was the second runner up.
