JKSSC seeks justice for ex-CRPF cop’s wife

JAMMU, Feb 14: J&K State Samaj Sudhar Committee (JKSSSC) has appealed Governor NN Vohra to do justice with the wife of an ex-CRPF Personnel, who was murdered by some goons in connivance with two police personnel, by passing directions to the concerned agency to arrest all the culprits.
Addressing media persons today here at Press Club Jammu, Mohd Yousuf Wani, State president, JKSSSC, alleged that Wazir Mohd (an ex-CRPF personnel), a resident of Tehsil Mendhar, was murdered by some local goons and two police personnel, and his body was found at Chajja Sisha Wali Topi in Tehsil Mendhar in Poonch district on July 29, 2012.
He said though the deceased’s wife had lodged an FIR in police station Mendhar, but the then SHO, SDM Mendhar and SP Poonch deliberately with oblique did not register FIR and demanded an amount of Rs 5-7 lakh for hushing up the case.
He further said that status report of the case has also been sought from present SSP Poonch, who is also hesitating to submit the report due to obvious reasons.
Alleging that total anarchy has prevailed in Poonch district, Wani appealed Governor NN Vohra to hand over the case to CBI for thorough investigation so that culprits can be booked and the deceased’s family could get justice.
