JAMMU, Nov 18: Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board today concluded the first ever computer based written tests for about 500 posts of different departments wherein negative marking was also introduced for the first time.
Officials said the examinations were conducted at ten centers in two capital cities of Jammu and Srinagar from 14th to 18th November. Around 5500 candidates took this exam with lot of curiosity and enthusiasm.
For the first time, biometric registration was also carried out at all centers to prevent any impersonation. Officials said at one center in Jammu, a candidate was not allowed to take the exam whose admit card picture did not match with his biometrics. Further, one candidate was debarred and blacklisted for five years from all JKSSB exams, as per the guidelines, as he was found with mobile phone inside the examination hall in spite of explicit directions on the admit card.
The exams were conducted for various positions like ECG Technicians, Anesthesia Assistants, X-ray Assistants, Junior Assistants, Election Assistants, Stenographers, Legal Assistants, Junior Pharmacists, Lab Assistants, Horticulture Tech-IV, Culture Assistant, Tabla Assistant, Etcher Artists, Physical Education Teachers etc. The Board will be conducting next round of CBT in December for various positions of Health, Forest and Industries and Commerce Departments.
