J&K’s players, coach part of foreign exposure training at Beijing

JAMMU, Aug 14: Two players and 1 coach (National Chief Coach) of the State are undergoing one month foreign exposure training at Beijing Sports University.
The 23 Indian Wushu Team is preparing for the forthcoming 14th World Wushu Championship, to be held at Kazan (Russia) from September 25 to October 4, 2017.
Earlier, during the selection trials held at SAI Shilaroo, 2 players namely Bhanu Partap Singh, World Bronze and World Cup Silver medalist and Rajinder Singh, Asian Championship Silver medalist reserved their berth for the foreign exposure training and competition at Beijing Sports University (China), while Kuldeep Handoo (Chief Coach of India) is accompanying the Indian Wushu team for the said training.
Mr Handoo said that Sports Authority of India (SAI) has agreed to send the best probables of the Indian team for 3 months training to China in view of the forthcoming Asian Games, adding the exposure training in China will certainly boost the morale of the Indian Wushu team.
The office bearers of Wushu Association of J&K namely Vijay Saraf (President), Ranjeet Kalra, Deepak Handa and Sunil Sharma (Vice Presidents) and Sohit Sharma (Treasurer) have lauded the efforts of the trio of Kuldeep Handoo, Surya Bhanu Partap and Rajinder Singh for their excellent performance and hoped for better show in the World Championship.
