J&K’s Hiteshwar selected for Roll Ball World Cup

JAMMU, Feb 3: Bringing laurels to the State of Jammu and Kashmir, ace skater, Hiteshwar Singh, Civil Engineering student of Yogananda College of Engineering and Technology, has been selected by Roll Ball Federation of India to represent the Country in the 4th Roll Ball World Cup to be held from February 16 to February 23, 2017 at Dhaka in Bangladesh.
Hiteshwar Singh was selected amongst 180 players invited for the selection trials from across the country. The trials were held at Pune from January 24 to January 28, 2017.
Son of Sudhir Singh, A.E.E. in PHE and Anuradha Sambyal, Teacher, Hiteshwar is also a former speed skater, who has won galaxy of medals at National level in speed skating and Roll Ball.
While talking to EXCELSIOR, Hiteshwar accredited his success to his mentor, Madhu Khajuria, his parents and Chairman Yogananada College of Engineering & Technology, Er. Vidhi Singh Jamwal and the Management of College.
