JAMMU, Jan 12: Deputy Speaker Legislative Assembly, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi today convened a meeting with the representatives of Jammu and Kashmir Reserve Categories Empowerment Alliance (JKRCEA) regarding the reservation of SC/ST category.
Minister for Cooperative, Chering Dorjey, Legislators Mohammad Shafi Uri, Javed Ahmad Rana, Aijaz Ahmad Khan, Raja Manzoor Ahmad, Asgar Ali Karbalaie, Syed Mohammad Baqir, Choudhary Qamar Hussain, Shah Mohammad Tantray, Kuldeep Raj, Dr Gagan Bhagat, Dr Krishen Lal and Jewan Lal were present in the meeting.
It was decided in the meeting that a team led by Deputy Speaker will meet Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti on January 16 to apprise her about the Supreme Court ruling regarding reservation of SC/ST category in the State.
JKRCEA discussed various matters pertaining to the SC/ST category with the Deputy Speaker.
