JKRBPS releases poetry book ‘Sangam’

JAMMU, Mar 14: Jammu Kashmir Rashtra Bhasha Parchar Samiti (JKRBPS), Jammu today organized a function to release a poetry book titled ‘Sangam’, at KL Sehgal Hall in J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu complex.
The book has been written by noted poetess Sumeet Sudan. The book was formally released by chief guest OP Sharma Vidhyarthi (poet, writer and environmentalist) along with Pritpal Singh Betab (noted Urdu poet), who presided over the function.
Dr Arvinder Singh Aman, additional secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL), was the guest of honour while Prof Netar Singh (former Principal) also shared the dais.
The introductory paper about the book was presented by eminent writer, Dr Sunita Badwal while Sumeet Sudan gave a brief description of the book and recited few poems.
Prof Bharat Bhushan Sharma, general secretary/sanchalak of the Samiti briefed the gathering about the activities of the Samiti and conducted the programme.
Earlier, Deedar Singh, president of JKRBPS, in his welcome address, said that Jammu Kashmir Rashtra Bhasha Prachar Samiti is a literary organization which is working for the promotion of the literature and writers of the national and regional languages.
Literary personalities, prominent writers, poets, prominent citizens, besides family and friends of the poetess were also present on the occasion.
