JKPDC employees protest

Excelsior Correspondent
Srinagar, Jan 10: Employees of Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Corporation (JKPDC) today staged a protest against Government’s failure to formulate service rules in the Corporation and demanded incorporation of SRO-381.
The protesters assembled here at Press Enclave and said the Corporation came into existence twenty-seven years ago but Government’s failure to formulate the services rules has put the employees into despair. “Twenty-seven years have passed since the Corporation was made but it has not developed its service rules due to which the employees have to suffer in terms of meager salaries and discrimination,” they said.
The PDC protesters further said they wanted the Corporation to incorporate SRO- 381 of the PDD. They demanded that all the casual laborers should be regularized and urged State Government to clear pension cases that are lying in the Government offices from last twelve years.
