JAMMU, Jan 20: All J&K Pensioners and Civil Society Association (JKPCSA) today stressed upon the Government to implement 7th Pay Commission with effect from January 1, 2016 instead of April 1, 2018.
In a meeting of the association held here today under the president ship of Ajit Singh Adyal, the speakers opined that 7th PC should be introduced in J&K with effect from January 1, 2016 and not from April 1, 2018, as employees/pensioners are already getting meager pay and pension if compared with neighbouring states like Punjab, UP and HP, and further loss on this account in their favour will be a great setback to them.
The association members also emphasized on the need to enhance medical allowance from Rs 300 to Rs 2000 per month, release of DA with effect from July 1, 2016 on Central pattern, removal of pay anomalies of working employees, implementation of Health Insurance Scheme covering a provision of Rs 6 lakh to each family of the pensioners and employees from 2017-18, etc.
