REASI, Feb 18: Good performances from Rajesh Gill, Jatin Wadhawan and Arvind helped JKP XI to thrash MCC Reasi by 7 wickets to advance in the ongoing Sadbhavana Cup T20 Cricket Tournament, being organized by Reasi Cricket Club at Sports Stadium, here.
Chasing a target of 135 runs, JKP XI scored the required runs in 19 overs by losing 3 wickets to win the match by 7 wickets. Rajesh Gill scored 46 runs, while Jatin Wadhawan and Farooq contributed 34 and 19 runs to the total. Parveen Singh bagged 2 wickets for MCC Reasi.
Earlier, MCC Reasi scored 134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in the stipulated 20 overs. Adil Reshi was the top scorer with 39 runs, while Parveen Singh and Sahil contributed 31 and 19 runs to the total respectively. Arvind was the pick of the bowlers for JKP XI, scalping 3 important wickets, while Rompy Sharma and Bhalwan Singh claimed 2 and one wicket respectively. Rajesh Gill was declared man of the match.
