JAMMU, Mar 13: Jammu and Kashmir Olympic Association (JKOA) held its Annual General Body Meeting, under the chairmanship of its president, S. Rangil Singh at Amar Singh Club, here.
Dr Ashutosh Sharma, General Secretary of the Association was also present on the occasion.
The representatives of good number of Associations affiliated to J&K Olympic Association attended the meeting.
The meeting framed committees to promote sports in the State.
A 7-member committee was constituted to finalize the list of outstanding sportspersons in different disciplines for felicitation. These members included Dushyant Sharma, Kuldeep Magotra, Ajay Sharma, Kuldeep Handoo, Ravinder Singh, Yudhvir Singh and Vikas Gupta.
Another committee of 6 members was framed to chalk-out the plan to organize the state games in disciplines which qualify for the forthcoming 36th National Games. The committee include Zamir Thakur, Dr Nirmolak Singh, Sunil Sharma, Sanjay Wahi, Irfan Butta and Rajan Sharma.
Another committee of 8 members was constituted to send the qualified teams for the participation in National Games.
The committee comprised of HS Gill, Bhupinder Singh Tirthi, Kuldeep Handoo, Rajan Sharma, SS Gill, Sharat Chander Singh, Om Prakash and Vikas Gupta.
