JKNPP for investigation of restructuring work by IRCON, PDD

JAMMU, July 8: Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) has sought investigation from IRCON and Power Development Department (PDD) for the work done by them regarding restructuring of power lines and replacement of poles.
Neeraj Gupta, Zonal President JKNPP along with his supporters and local people held a massive protest at New Plot Jammu against IRCON and PDD Department today.

He said that IRCON have done work without any technical and ethical considerations, adding that heavy cable bundles have been erected on the existing poles.
He further said that some of the poles dashed to ground immediately after few days of their installation and few others were about to collapse at any time posing great threat to human life and property.
“Despite bearing power cuts for installation of new poles with a hope that things will improve, however, instead of improvement the situation is worsening day by day,” said Gupta.
He further said that these poles pass great threat to the lives of the people.
He said that same situation lies in Pamposh Colony Janipur also and people have no option but to bear with the situation, adding that in New Plot near the house of RP Gupta the new cable wires are knitted like a huge net which is posing a threat to the people passing nearby.
Warning the State Govt for not playing with the lives of the people, he demanded that the repair and installation of the poles be done at an earliest.
He was accompanied by Nirmal Kishore, Jagdish Singh Baryal, Tabasum Koser, Ravinder Jamwal, Mela Ram, Om Parkash, Nirmal Gupta, Rangpal Gupta, Sudagar Lal Gupta, Vijay Dogra, Jaswant Singh, Sudagarmal Gupta, Balbir Singh and Dev Raj Gupta.
