JKNPP demands withdrawal of price hike of diesel, petrol

JAMMU, Feb 18: Workers of J&K National Panthers Party (JKNPP) led by Neeraj Gupta, zonal president of the party, held a protest demonstration against the Government over the issue of price hike of diesel and petrol.
The party workers pushed a truck with the help of rope and raised slogans against the Government. They demanded withdrawal of price hike of diesel and petrol with immediate effect.
Speaking on the occasion, Neeraj Gupta said that for personal interest the Government is not taking the problems of the common man seriously. “There is continuous hike in prices of the essential commodities as well as diesel and petrol but the Government is in deep slumber and not taking any steps to decrease the prices of petrol and diesel”, he added.
He demanded the Government to withdraw the price hike of diesel and petrol with immediate effect as it directly affects the price of essential commodities, besides transporters and public transport.
