JAMMU, Mar 14:  Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) today demanded imposition of Governor’s rule in the State in view of the “deteriorating” law and order situation.
“We urge President Pranab Mukherjee to invoke Section 92 of J&K Constitution without any further delay so that Governor rule is imposed in the state which has been on fire for nearly 14 months,” chief patron of JKNPP Bhim Singh told reporters here.
He alleged that the security and law and order situation is worse in the State and the Government has failed on all fronts.
Singh claimed that the Governor’s rule is the only solution and the State Assembly should be dissolved without any delay and fresh elections be held.
The law and order situation triggered by unrest in Kashmir can only be tackled when the state is reorganised by establishing Jammu and Kashmir as two separate States, the JKNPP leader asserted.
The people of Ladakh region should have the option to remain with Kashmir or Jammu or under the control of the Union as Union Territory, he said.
Singh said JKNPP will be holding its 34th foundation  anniversary on March 23 in Jammu with a “mission” that there should be one Constitution from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.
Our party stands for urgent amendment in the  Constitution of India so that Article 370 is amended to make way for one flag and one Constitution from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, he said.
“That is the only solution to restore peace and normalcy in J&K when every Indian citizen residing in J&K shall enjoy all fruits guaranteed in the fundamental rights in the Indian Constitution,” he added.
