JKMSCL suspends registration of M/s Sanyog, debars two others from participating in tenders

JAMMU, Jan 13: Jammu and Kashmir Medical Supplies Corporation suspended registration of M/s Sanyog Enterprises Private Limited and debarred two others firms for not following good manufacturing and distribution practices.
According to the sources, in the first quarter of last year the Corporation had purchased Injection Vancomycin 500 mg and Injection Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate from M/s Sanyog Enterprises Private Limited, Sanyog House, B-1 Yadav Park, New Delhi for Drug Ware House of Government Medical College, Srinagar, against its Annual Rate Contract.
“But when it was found that M/s Sanyog Enterprises Private Limited had supplied the Injection Vanocomycin 500mg and Injection Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for injection USP with the same batch number ‘ADG-088’ in the same packing at Drug Ware House of GMC Srinagar and the same was further delivered at GB Pant Hospital Srinagar, the samples of Injection Vancomycin 500 mg were lifted from GB Pant Hospital, Srinagar, by the Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization (DFCO) on the request of Principal and Dean, Government Medical College, Srinagar”, the sources said.
Accordingly, on December 31, 2016, the Controller, Drug and Food Control Organization seized the samples of both the medicines i.e. Injection Vancomycin 500 mg and Injection Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection USP, which were found with the same batch and in the same packing and both shown in the form 17-A and Form 15. Further, the team of officers of DFCO seized all the remaining 8400 vials of the said drugs.
Sources said that on the basis of report received and preliminary inquiry made thereof, the Corporation asked M/s Sanyog Enterprises to explain its position within three days. “Though the firm replied on time but its reply was found unsatisfactory and contradictory to the preliminary inquiry report”, they added.
“Accordingly, in the light of preliminary inquiry, the Corporation recently suspended the registration of supplier, M/s Sanyog Enterprises and debarred manufacturing company, M/s Alliance Biotech, Baddi, Solan (HP) and another firm, M/s Concept Pharmaceutical Private Limited, Chikalthana, Aurangabad, for which the products were made, from participating in any JKMSCL tenders till further orders, subject to the outcome of inquiry/finalization of case”, sources added.
When contacted, Managing Director, JKMSCL, Dr Yashpal Sharma, confirmed that they have suspended the registration of M/s Sanyog Enterprises and debarred M/s Allied Biotech as well as M/s Concept Pharmaceuticals from participating in the Corporation tenders for not following good manufacturing and distribution practices.
Pertinent to mention here that M/s Sanyog Enterprises is also running 24×7 pharmacy shops in various Government hospitals of J&K including two GMCs, Super Specialty Hospitals, SMGS Hospital Jammu and others to provide medicine to the common masses on at least 10% discount.
