JAMMU, Mar 11: Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today decided to stage block wise dharna in Jammu district to press for the just and genuine demands of Health & Family Welfare Employees.
The decision to stage block wise dharnas was taken during a meeting of the Federation held under the chairmanship of Sushil Sudan, president, JKMEF. The meeting was attended by presidents/secretaries of various blocks of Jammu district. The demands discussed in the meeting include clearance of DPC of all categories, amendment of SRO 20 pending in Administrative Department for 25 years and permanent solution of salary Head of 2211.
The demands like upgradation of the post of District Pharmacy Officer and Block Pharmacy Officer, enhancement of FTA from Rs 45 to Rs 5000 in favour of basic Health Workers, removal of pay anomalies of Clerks, Drivers, creation of the post of LHVs in New PHCs and provision of 50% quota as Health Educator to trained LHVs.
The meeting decided that the employees will stage dharna on March 17 at Block Marh, March 18 at Block Bhal-wal, March 20 at Government Hospital Sarwal (Jammu), March 22 at Block Chowkichoura, March 23 at Block Pallanwala, March 24 at Block Sohanajana, March 25 at Block Bishnah, March 30 at Block RS Pura, April 7 at Block Dansal and April 11 at Block Akhnoor.
