JKMEF deputation meets Bali Bhagat, takes up demands

JAMMU, Apr 26: A deputation of Health Employees led by Sushil Sudan, president, Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation (JKMEF) today met Health Minister, Bali Bhagat and took up their burning issues and demands with him.
The deputation comprised of representatives of all working cadres of Health sector viz pharmacists, Ministerial staff, FMPHWs, X-Ray, Dental and Ophthalmic technicians, basic Health workers and Class IV employees.
The demands taken up with the Minister included amendment of SRO 20 dated: 24-02-1992 pending since more than 23 years, creation of posts of District Pharmacy Officers, Block Pharmacy Officers and Head Pharmacists, clearing DPC at par with Government Medical College/ Drug & Food Control Organization on the pattern of Executive Order passed by the Administrative Department till the SRO -20 (Recruitment Rules) be modified and according promotions strictly as per seniority.
The deputation also highlighted other demands like permanent solution of Salary Head 2211, promotion of FMPHWs who are trained LHVs in new PHCs and removal of pay anomalies of Ministerial staff and others, over time allowance to all employees performing 12 hours night duty as per Labour laws, creation of posts of Section Officers in all CMO Offices and Head Assistant at Block Level, risk allowance to all non Gazetted employees, monetary benefit to all the employees regularized recently, etc.
The Minister gave a patient hearing to the deputation and gave assurance to redress their all the demands very shortly.
Others who were in the deputation include Vinod Kumar, general secretary, JKMEF, Jarnail Choudhary, working president, Jammu Kashmir Government Pharmacist Association, Neelam Kumar and Kamla Devi, general secretary and senior -vice president, Jammu Kashmir Female Multipurpose Health Workers’ Association and Mohd Saleem, president, Ministerial Staff Jammu Province.
