JKGPAOA delegation calls on Director Agriculture

JAMMU, Aug 17: A delegation of Jammu Kashmir Graduate Promotee Agriculture Officers Association (JKGPAOA) led by its president, Arun Gupta today called on Director Agriculture, Jammu, R K Razdan and apprised him about the miseries and problems being faced by the cadre due to non conductance of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting for long.
As per a release, Arun Gupta impressed upon Director Agriculture to make all out efforts on the war footing basis for filling up all the 301 posts of AEOs and equivalent meant for VEWs/JAAs/JAEOs by conducting the DPC as per initial quota as provided in Single Bench judgment and till fulfillment of this no direct recruitment should be allowed.
He further demanded that after filling initial quota the bifurcation of available vacancies (including by identification of posts fell vacant due to retirement / death or leaving of Department by the incumbents right from 1984 till now) should be as per rules which is on the basis of 50 : 50 till December 2007 and thereafter on the basis of 80 percent in favour of JAEOs.
Gupta informed DAJ that being deprived of their right for decades now they will leave no stone unturned to achieve their goal. The Director assured them that their genuine demands will be considered and addressed to the higher authorities so that justice may be done to the cadre.
Others who accompanied the delegation included, Ajay Sharma, Rajesh Mankotia, Neeraj Sharma, Sanjay Moza, Prem Singh, Rohit Gandotra and Jatinder Singh.
