RAJOURI, Oct 20: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized awareness programme on the Pradhan Mantri’s social security schemes at village Fatehpur under the Branch Office Rajouri.
DDM, NABARD, Des Raj was the chief guest on the occasion. He spoke at length about the various schemes of NABARD.
Speaking on the occasion, RK Narang, Area Manager, Rajouri/Poonch J&K Grameen Bank, briefed the participants at length regarding the benefits of social security schemes named (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti BimaYojana, (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.
He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch. He also made people aware of new Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Prime Minister’s Crop Insurance Scheme).
Besides locals, representatives of various Line Departments also attended the programme.
