JKGB organizes D-FLAP at unbanked village Sagoon

JAMMU, Feb 28: Micro Finance and Financial Inclusion Department of J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized a Digital-Financial Literacy Awareness Programme (D-FLAP) at village Sagoon.
Ajay Bharti, Chief Manager, GAD, JKGB, was the chief guest. While speaking on the occasion, he described the problems faced by the women due to the unawareness of simple digital and cashless transaction methods. He impressed upon the specially women to learn and use these cashless modes of payment. He impressed upon the participants not to use any middle man from availing any benefit from the bank and approach the bank branch directly.
Sahil Sharma, senior Manager, HRDD, JKGB, who was the guest of honour, made the women aware of various lending schemes tailored by the bank for general public available on easy EMIs i.e, Housing loan, Transport loan, Car loan, Education loan, etc. He also distributed Rupay debit cards to the customers.
Vipan Gupta, senior Manager, MF&FI Department, JKGB, highlighted various schemes of the bank. He made the women aware of various modes of cashless banking including use of PoS machine, KCC RuPay Debit Card, Net Banking, Mobile Banking Services, etc. He also highlighted the benefits of less cash economy in detail.
Representatives of various line departments also attended the programme. At least 200 farmers were also present. Besides the huge gathering, Sarpanch, Panchs and other dignitaries of the villages were also present during the occasion.
Mukesh Kumar Sangotra, Branch Head Sruinsar, addressed the gathering and detailed them regarding the schemes of the bank. Car, Tractor, JLG and KCC loans of Rs 25 lakh were also disbursed during the programme.
