JKGB organizes awareness program

JAMMU, Nov 30: J&K Grameen Bank (JKGB) in collaboration with NABARD organized an awareness program on Pradhan Mantri’s social security schemes at Kotli Charkan in Bishnah.
Senior Manager, MFFI Department, JKGB, HO Narwal (Jammu), VK Sharma, who was chief guest on the occasion, spoke at length about the various Bank/NABARD schemes i.e., Farmer Clubs (FCs), Self Help Groups (SHGs) and Joint Liability Groups (JLGs).
He also informed the participants at length regarding the benefits of newly launched schemes named (PMJJBY) Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, (PMSBY) Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana and (APY) Atal Pension Yojana.
He further informed the gathering that these schemes have been designed to provide security cover to the poor population particularly those working in the unorganized sectors. He advised the people to avail this benefit through nearest Grameen Bank Branch.
District Project Manager, Umeed, Mr Narain, spoke at length about newly introduced scheme NRLM (for women SHG). Financial Literacy Counselor, Mohinder Kumar, also spoke on the occasion.
