JKGA to participate in Army Commanders Golf Cup

JAMMU, Apr 13: The J&K Golf Association has been invited to participate in the prestigious Army Cdr’s Invitational Golf Championship 2017 to be held on April 15 and 16, 2017 at Dhruva Golf Club (DEPTA), Udhampur.
The Tournament is being conducted annually  in the J&K State among the teams including J&K Golf Association Jammu, Kashmir Golf Club Srinagar and Combined teams of Armed Forces/ HQ Northern Command.
The J&K Golf Association has selected a team in which due representation has been given to all including Veterans, Seniors, Young and Middle rung Golfers.
According a handout issued here, Governor NN Vohra and Chief Minister Mehbooba Mufti will be the chief guest and guest of honour during the Prize Distribution ceremony resepctively.
This is the second biggest Golf Tournament being conducted in the J&K State after the prestigious 1965 War Golden Jubilee Golf Cup Championship which was conducted by J&K Golf Association and won by the HQ Northern Command team under the Captaincy of former Army Cdr Lt. General,  DS Hooda.
