SRINAGAR, July 10: Jammu and Kashmir Football Association (JKFA) organized first Inter-Grassroots and Inter Academy Football Competitions 2017 of Kashmir valley, under the sponsorship of J&K State Sports Council at Bakshi Stadium, here.
The Competitions were held from July 6 to July 9 from 9 am to 5:30 pm each day.
39 Grassroots Centres and Football Academies took part in the event.
The Competitions were held in 2 age groups 6-12 years and 13 to 15 years.
The Competitions were conducted under the patronage of Grassroots Department of AIFF.
1400 players belonging to remote corners of almost all the districts of Kashmir valley participated in the event.
The Competitions were inaugurated by Baseer Ahmad Khan, Divisional Commissioner, Kashmir, who interacted with all participants and officials on the occasion.
In 6-12 years age group, Dangerpora GRC emerged as the winners, while ISK Bhagat Barzulla GRC was the runners-up, while in 13-15 years age group, Ganderbal GRC was the winner and Novelty Chanpora GRC was the runners-up.
Fair Play Trophy was awarded to Dangerpora GRC in 6-12 age group.
