The protesting members assembled and sat down near Clock Tower and held the peaceful protest. They demanded that the Presidential Order on GST should be immediately withdrawn. The protesters were carrying banners and placard and sat down on the protest silently.
The members of JKCC said that with GST in State, the Legislature will have no taxation powers. “Besides it is a burden on people of the State as well as on business community which has faced tremendous difficulties due to various reasons including unrest and floods,” they said. Later, the members of the JKCC concluded their protest peacefully and vowed to fight against the GST.
