JKCA Premier Championship inaugurated at Banihal

BANIHAL, June 23: The Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) today inaugurated the District Level JKCA Premier Championship at Railway Yard Lamber, here today.
16 teams are participating in this knockout tournament.
The players participating are being provided opportunity to reserve berth as probable for JKCA under the notable administration of Justice CK Prasad, retired Judge of the Supreme Court and Justice Syed Rafat Alam, Chief Justice of MP and Allahabad High Courts and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), JKCA Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, retired DIG.
The tournament is being organized in phase 2nd under the supervision of Sham Saroop Kalsotra, Committee Member, JKCA, Jammu.
The tournament was inaugurated by Vikar Rasool Wani, MLA, Banihal as the chief guest in the presence of guests of honour SC Basera, Commanding Officer, 12 RR and Abdul Gani Malik, Senior Cricketer as guests of honour.
In the inaugural match, Shah e Asrar, Kaskoot defeated Star XI Chamalwas by 22 runs.
At Police Line ground Ramban, Digdool XI trounced Police Line XI by 35 runs,
At other venues of the province, Youngster XI beat Dream XI by 43 runs at Sports Stadium Kathua, Seri Cricket Club defeated Star Club Surankote in a close contest by 2 wickets and Amateur Cricket Club thrashed Rising Star Cricket Club by a big margin of 55 runs.
