JKCA holding Cricket Tournament from 2nd week of May

JAMMU, May 3: Member Working Committee Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) and part of 4-Member Committee, Jung Bahadur Singh Jamwal has informed that Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association will organize a Cricket Tournament from 2nd week of May, 2018 at Parade Ground, here.
The Tournament will be held for Senior and Under-16 boys.
“After the approval of Justice CK Prasad and Justice Riffat Alam, the Administrators of JKCA, the final call was given by Syed Ashiq Hussain Bukhari, CEO JKCA with regard to commencement of the tournament,” Mr Jung informed.
The meeting decided that JKCA Cricket Championship will be held in each district of the State, under the supervision of organizing committees to be framed by JKCA.
The members further decided to appoint selectors for picking good performers of each district and the good performers of below 25 years players from all over the state in these tournaments will be considered for the final selection trials to be conducted by JKCA prior to the National and Zonal Level Tournaments.
The tournament will be organized under the patronage of Justice CK Prasad and Justice Riffat Alam, Administrators of JKCA, under the Chairmanship of Syed AH Bukhari CEO JKCA and under the supervision of the four Member Committee of JKCA, namely Jung Bahadur Singh Jamwal, Sham Kalsotra, Shibban Lal Trakroo and Mohd Ashraf.
The slogan of the tournament will be “Champions keep playing, till they get it right”.
The teams of both categories of Jammu district desirous to take part in the Tournament can submit their entries with Rajesh Gill, former Ranji Trophy Player by or before May 8, 2018.
The fixtures will be drawn in presence of all the representatives of the participating teams.
