JAMMU, Oct 4: Demanding release of the list under second phase of regularization of Rehbar-e-Zerat, Jammu and Kashmir Agricultural Technocrats Association (JKATA) today organized one-day protest near Exhibition Ground.
Representatives of all districts of Jammu division took part in the protest, which was led by Dr Surinder Radotra, president of the Association. They raised slogans in support of their demand and threatened to launch an agitation against the delay.
The protesting ReZ and JKATA members blamed the State Government authorities for being apathetic towards their sufferings.
While addressing the gathering, Dr Radotra urged the Chief Minister Mufti Mohd Sayeed and Deputy CM Dr Nirmal Singh for their personal intervention to ensure release of the regularization list. “Both PDP and BJP had been supporting us till they were in Opposition but ever since coming to power, these two ruling parties have maintained a silence on the issue, he alleged.
Dr Radotra further alleged that despite their repeated pleas, both the CM and DyCM have not even bothered about asking their administration as what was going on with the regularization process of pending ReZ candidates.
Dr Vinod Sharma, chairman of JKATA also spoke on the occasion and warned that if the second phase of regularization is not done immediately, the ReZ along with their families would take to roads and protest. “If needed, we will even resort to fast unto death,” he added.
